youll need a different/smaller ballast that came with the 07/08's, not sure about the bulbs themselves though. I would think they would work.

I have the same question, I see them on ebay, The 07-08 Lights and also am wondering what needs to be changed out in order for them to work properly. I was going to get the Type S Depo taillights but people said they have a cheap look.

I just love how the DRL part of the newer lenses look better...but not sure if I would spend that much more money to change it out. I think the RED tails and earlier headlights look very nice too!

04-08 tl-s headlight

I CONVERTED TO 08 TLS HEADLIGHT TO MY 04.
AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WILL FIT FINE , BUT WHEN I INSTALL IT... TURN OUT EVERYTHING IS DIFFERENT.
THE ONLY THING THE SAME IS THE D2S BULB.
CORNER BULB IS DIFFERENT (NEED TO MODIFIED FEMALE SOCKET ALSO BUY THE MALE SOCKET FOR THE HOUSING.)
HID CONTROL UNITS/BRACKETS IS A BIG DIFFERENT (NEED TO BUY TL-S HID CONTROL UNIT AND BRACKET NOT CHEAP )
ON THE 04 TL IS THE FOG ,AND 08 TL-S IS DAY RUNNING LIGHT,BUT YOU COULD USE THE SAM BULP.
AVERYTHING COST ME ALMOST $1500.

I spent 285$ on a set of brand new CDM headlights on ebay + $230 for a set of used 06-08 ballasts, another $100 on sockets/ HID bulb covers/ switchbacks/ foam washers = $615 spent. (Check out my CDM headlight thread)

I then recouped my costs on the ballasts ($200), headlights w/my old angel eyes ($400) and old switchbacks ($40) and came out even. ~$640 regained.

GOOD DEAL IF U ASK ME!

... but then i got that $280 speeding ticket. ummmmmmmmmmmmm lol

i swapped out my 04-06 headlights for 07-08 type s and paid 100 cash on top. i went ahead reused the same 04-06 headlight ballast and bulbs, i just had to fabricate a mounting point for the ballast which was not easy =(
