I'm going to be changing to a 3" exhaust by the end of the month (April) I'm hoping and am gonna have 1 36" Magnaflow and another either smaller Mag or AR30. I hope to drastically diminish if not eliminate the rasp completely...and gain some power
Yeah my previous exhaust setup had 2 18" resonators. On this one since I have a cutout in the way I can't go with 2 of them, but I can fit 1 28"x5" core magnaflow and I'm certain that will eliminate the rasp.

Thanks for the props 03blackCL

lol

and hey "slow03maxima" forgot to mention that my brothers maxima actually caught up to me not becuase of his cattman headers (because he didnt install them yet lazy lol) but he advanced his timing to 17 Degrees. The car and half length that i was beating him by shrunk down to my rear fender lol he's cathcing up. It's crazy cause when he advanced his timing it read lower than the normal 15 degrees it should be at. he gained alot of power from it.

Yeah I've read about other people who found their base timing was retarded. 2 degrees advanced timing (from stock 15 to 17) normally makes 5-7WHP, so he could have gained a bit more if his was retarded to 13 or 14.

Exactly lol the tech said his timing was "Wacked" lol so when we ran it after the timing and i was suprised that it took off a car length. Now he has to put those headers in and he'll pass me for sure.

So is all ur rasp elimanated with ur new exhaust set-up??

Well I have really never had rasp... My 2.5" exhaust setup had 2 resonators that kept all the rasp out.

The 3" cattman catback also had no rasp with the cattman headers/Ypipe. But... I had a custom non-equal length 3" Y-pipe made (cattman's is 2.5" equal length) and I have rasp again. Going to need a bigger resonator I guess.
