$33150 base price including dest according to ToV
#2
If the price is truly 33, 1 including delivery, I would be very happy. It is about $500 more than I was hoping but about $500 less than I was expecting. In any event, $10 a month is not going to make a difference if I really like the car once I test drive it.

I noticed that the new 2004 TL is the same vehicle as the new Japanese and European Accord. (Is this true?) The Acura Germany website lists the price in Euros, so I converted it to USA dollars and got about $33,000.00.
Not sure if this is accurate, but is in line with the ToV amount.

pricing
Those pricing numbers are accurate - I just got back from the Acura dealer - they have 4 TL's that just arrived today and the window sticker is just over $35k for an auto with nav. I really wanted to check out a 6 speed manual, they have not received any yet. They are selling at sticker (no markup or discounts) - however they will not sell them or do test drives until Monday.

I think you are confused, the Euro and Japanese Accords are the Acura TSX in America..
The 2004 Acura TL is nowhere to be found but North America, They are only releasing it here and so far there is no JDM or EURO Equivalent

I'm sorry, but I don't get excited about this price. I don't see droves of people dishing out 33.2K for this car. The TL is a high volume car, so if Honda wants to utilize their production capability you will find these cars flooding the market and deep discounts will be the talk of the town. I predict that if you go to an Acura dealer on Dec. 31, 2003 one could be had for less than 31K incl dest....just my opinion. This car at 31K is a good deal.

Certainly agree that it's a steal at 31, but not sure if your prediction is right. Depends on the economy and pent-up demand more than price, I think. But it would certainly be sweet to tell your dealer to call you back when they are ready to deal - first dealer to call gets the sale.

I think that Acura has done a good job pricing the 04TL given the car's features and performance. Those that think it is too high can always opt for the TSX or Accord, both of which are very good cars in their own right.

Acura has never been known to "flood the market" with the automobiles. When you drive down the road you see a hell of a lot of Hondas, but nowhere near as many Acuras...that's for a reason. This is why Acuras also hold their value very well compared to most if not all American cars. Mine arrived on the lot today in Cincinatti...silver/quartz/navi and the price quotes was 35,150 However, they are working on a little bit of a deal. If no deal, then they are going to get me the 18" rims for a steal.

Since Acura early introduced the 03, tons of cars sat on the lots of Acura dealers because people didn't want to buy them. Dealers were selling these cars at a couple hundred over invoice. Sales weren't bad enough to go to rebates (or dealer cash) until Sept 2, 2003.

That may be true, however that is not flooding the makrket, it is simply a lack of consumer interest (which is odd because the 03 TL-S is an awesome machine)

My dealer in Central California called last night. 3 new TL arrivals, two silver and one white 04' all auto/no nav. He said, not for sale until the 6th but are ready for testdrive and one will be converted to an A spec. Confirmed price for base at $33,150 including 500 dest. I am planning on test driving now and then waiting until the price drops to buy. Should be interesting.

Concerning the one he will be converting into an A-spec .....can you find out the price of the A-spec package? And if he's talkin about a TL with a the accessories or a true A-spec? Thanx.

Just came from the dealership. This is a high-volume dealership. MSRP is definitely $33150. That's a fair price, I think, considering what you are getting. I was afraid it might go as high as $35K which would be iffy. I can live with 33K. I think they will deal if you threaten to go with the G35. But you've got to wait a few months. Right now, it's MSRP. By the way, does anyone know what the invoice is?
