So my buddy tried putting back on my tow hook cover and it ended up breaking. I called my local Acura dealership and gave them my VIN so it would color match and they said $140. Price seems kind of ridiculous.

 

I'm sure you can find a cheaper one at a junk yard or through eBay.

I buy all my dealer parts from curry acura, these part numbers may help you get one from an online dealer for at least a better price than 140. I spot checked and they had them for $88 which is still a lot for a plastic plug but a $50 savings is a $50 savings.

Get any tow hook cover, paint it, BAM! $15 later, you have a tow hook cover.

 

well...plus the cost of the clear coat...
and assuming you have a respirator already...

 

I can take it to a shop to get it fully painted and cleared for $15.

 

That's cheap!
