TPMS sensors reset/re-learn?
Bought a set of aftermarket wheels for the RLX, added a set of new sensors so I could swap between the new setup and the oem wheels without having to swap sensors. Thought I could just go to discount tire and have them plug into my obd port and drive a few mins and the new sensors would be recognized and my dash warning would go away like it has so many times before with my previous cars that I have done the same thing with--not the case this time!! Am I missing something? This is my 1st Acura, but I assumed it would be the same process as my 2011 accord. Do I have to go to the dealer and have them reset it? 2014 base p-aws by the way...

If they are OEM TPMS sensors, like thoiboi said, they should register automatically after driving half a mile to a mile.......
If they are aftermarket, and transmitting at the correct frequency, then they need to be programed......

I'm having my OEM sensors installed on my second set tomorrow but I bought them directly from the dealer. The package mine came in show part number 42753-TY2-A51.

Did you buy them from an Acura dealership online or a secondary source? Perhaps they are Acura sensors but not specifically for the RLX - hence the issue you're having.

i called my dealership this morning to ask the question since I'm getting my tires put on today and the technician said the RLX will self initialize the TPMS after about 10 minutes of driving (no programming required) so I suspect the ones you bought online may be faulty. Will let you know if I have any issues with the ones I bought from the dealership.

sooooo acura tells me that 2 of my sensors broadcast the psi, but dont send the signal that is recognized by the "brain". $126 a piece to order the sensors through them, but i bought 2 from a buddy that had extras for his TL. same part #s!

It sounds like your TPMS sensors were not compatible with the Acura receiver. The RLX (and likely all Acura) TPMS are 315 MHz. There are several compatible aftermarket sensors as low as $30-45.and Acura OEM sensors are available online around $85.

i paid $55 CAD per OEM sensor (with washer and nut) from my local Acura dealer.

When I put my new snow tires/rims on for the first time, the TPMS readings were blank until I surpassed 50mph for the first time and then they began reading normally. I recall checking this with my service manager and he said that the new sensors don't fully integrate into the system until the 50mph threshold is reached.
Also, I tried to install my snow tires from my '05 RL on my RLX and the sensors were not compatible. Acura has changed the specs of the TPMS sensors in the RLX and thus I had to buy the new set of tires/rims/TPMS sensors.
So, Either old spec sensors or failing to reach the 50mph threshold may have been an issue in the TPMS sensors failing to read pressures.
