Just put aftermatket seat covers on a few weeks ago and recently the air bag light on dash comes on every now and then. The covers are supposed to be OK for the seats, but, when I take them off the light goes out. Any body else ever have a problem like this?

Page 35: "Do not cover or replace front seatback covers without consulting your dealer. Improperly replacing or covering front seat-back covers can prevent your side airbags from inflating during a side impact".

I suspect its the sensor that detects proximity of the seat to the dash that gets blocked, once a cover goes on the seat that sensor throws an error.
