"Bad Self Portraits" by Lake Street Dive really shines on the vocals (midrange) capabilities of the Krell system.
The bass on Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes" - as Sulu would say - Ooooh Myyy!

this place had an ad in the Acura Style magazine
http://www.musicvalet.com/
they were promoting the Better Than Ezra "How does your garden grow" album in the ad
After looking at the site more, that is the only album they have as a product so far,. Also saw this:
Music Valet is spearheaded by Richard LaBonté, an advertising/marketing veteran whose experience lies both in and beyond the music industry. Richard is also the owner of two Acura vehicles equipped with 5.1 SSA capabilities, which is where the Music Valet idea was born.

I enjoy many kinds of music, but most of the time do not pay that much attention to the lyrics. However, it seems with the Krell system, the lyrics are so clear that I am listening them more. I've now heard phrases in songs that I've listened to many times and had not heard before.
I tried the Music Search this weekend when the wife wanted to hear "Cryin' Like a Church on Monday" by The New Radicals. Was found instantly on both the iPod and HDD. Amazing how the voice recognition works in this car.

I have yet to buy a 5.1 CD, but planning to order some this week. (Still have my collection of DVD-A from the RL that won't work now)
So I was wondering about ripping a 5.1 CD to a USB drive. I can rip it lossless and keep 5.1, but will the RLX read 5.1 from USB? In other words, is the 5.1 decoder specific to the CD player or will it decode from the hard drive as well?

Well just finished burning John Coltrane's "Minor Mishap" into the hard drive and it sounds fantastic! These albums were originally recorded in the fifties and sixties when stereo was a new "technology". Piano solos in the right channel, Coltrane in the left with no crosstalk. They don't record 'em like that much anymore and the clarity is astounding. I've only got the base ELS system and it sounds great!
