have a 2017 RLX with advance package but no siri eyes free. can it be installed on this car. billy

 

siri hands free works when you press and HOLD the voice command button on the steering wheel

 

I press and hold and all that come up is car audio. no siri. hoping there is an upgrade to system from Honda . One would think the TOP of line Acura would have it ALL.

 

I guess I wouldn't be surprised if there were different technological features between the RLX and TLX since the RLX was designed for 2014+, and likely hasn't undergone a major firmware upgrade since release. Some manufacturers (Ford, Kia, etc) have offered free updates to include Siri Eyes Free (Ford) or CarPlay (Kia), but so far, no word from Acura or Honda about this. I wouldn't hold your breath.

However, you could always use the "Hey Siri" feature on the phone. I don't know if that's exclusive to iPhone 7 or whatever, but it's worth trying! I'd recommend a phone holder that keeps the phone close, like one that mounts to the CD player, or vent.

 

I have a 2020 RLX SH-AWD. It also doesn't seem to have Siri eyes free. Anyone know if there is something I am doing wrong? I am using the "hey Siri" but I also have a 2016 Honda Pilot and I like the Siri eyes free use there.
