Navigation system map version?
My pre-owned 2016 sport hybrid's navigation system has database version ST004.03.00 and software version 2.01.2303. Does anyone know how I can find out when these versions were released? Thanks in advance for any help.

Not sure you can back into this info as you only get info on current/future releases when you inquire on map updates. You may be able to submit your question on the map site.

Interesting that they don't seem to want to disclose how old a given map is. In any case, I pressed them for an answer over the phone and they said that the version numbers I mentioned above are probably from 2015 or 2016.

Hi jdpdata, how did you get versions Database: ST008.07.01 Software: 3.01.2b01 for your 2020 Acura RLX? The dealer here claims that DB ST007.06.00 and Software 2.01.2b02 on the 2020 RLX are the latest versions. Will you kindly post pic of the version from your display? Thanks!

This is software that came with my 2020 RLX at purchase. I didn't update anything. I don't use OEM infotainment anymore since I now have GROM VLine2. I boot directly into VL2. It's all working great, highly recommended👍

Unless Acura has changed something up.... Map updates only came out in the fall from late Oct to early Dec with no version updates for the whole entire year. Acura would sell the same map database version for $199 in the fall, $149 late winter/early spring, and down to $99 by summer..

Yes, VL2 does detect headlight usage and will use dark mode if that's what you set in Google Maps/Waze. Now I find it is buggy from time to time it won't switch to dark mode, you'll just have to switch to dark mode manually in settings or you can keep it permanently in dark mode. That's a Google issue, nothing to do with GROM. Turn-by-Turn is nice to have on HUD, but I don't miss it at all. I guess you could use both the OEM navigation and Google Maps/Waze if you want. Press and hold the 'Settings' button to switch to GROM interface on top LCD screen whenever you're in OEM menus. You do lose voice guidance in Android Auto though if you're not in GROM interface. BTW, you should post on the following thread about GROM VL2. James, you and I are the only 3 so far that have GROM in 2020 RLX. Lets keep all the discussion about GROM in central place so it's easier for others to find info. Congrats on the new car and you're going to love GROM VL2. It does make this car so much more enjoyable.
