I have the 2020 RLX Advance. it has an indash CD player. My 2012 RL had a 6 disc changer. My 2020 RLX seems to only want to accept 1 CD. Does anyone know if the RLX is single CD only or like the RL have a 6 disc capacity and how to load the 6 discs? The owners manual does not even mention the CD player

These cars have a CD player? LOL. Yeah, I know. Just haven't whipped out a CD in forever. Unfortunately these are single disc systems.

 

Ok, makes sense single disc that is why it would not accept more discs
I pretty much forgot my RL even had a CD player until I went to get car ready for next owner and realized I had 6 discs in it.

It is single cd but it will rip the cd to the internal hard drive so realistically you only ever need to put the cd in once FWIW

 

I know this is an old thread but I actually didn’t know about the hard drive thing. So I tried it yesterday and after 5 minutes I gave up. It looks like it takes a while to do so. Anyone else successfully managed to do so?

 

Yeah, ripping to HD is painfully slow. Soon cars with no longer have CD slot. I haven't use a CD for like in last 10 years.
With streaming apps, CDs and multi-disk changers are going extinct pretty soon.

 

yeah it takes awhile to convert to the HD, i just use the flash drive/usb for music.

 

yup my newer Volvo didn’t even have a CD player. I kinda like the RLX’s Cd slot it’s a nostalgic throwback. it can play usb’s apparently. I have no idea what aha is but it’s one of the source options.
