FYI, in a note to dealers:

We have learned if the customer upgrades their iPhone 5, 5S or 5C to iOS 8 or purchases the new Apple iPhone 6/6 Plus, they will encounter some compatibility issues. They will still be able to access their AcuraLink apps and use features such as remote door lock and unlock. The look and layout of some features may be impacted. They will receive an error if accessing the Maps page. If they select “ok” to this error, they will be able to proceed and use the Maps page.

Acura is working with Apple to iron out the compatibility issues.

thanks colin. looks like they are also sending it to customers via an "Acura Client Relations" email. received one earlier today.

That is the plan, but it's ONE DAY before the software hits... kinda late notice!?

Better than what GM does, which is no notification of any changes. I have an iP6+ on order for delivery Friday and....we'll see whether it works in my Cadi.

I am frankly glad to see that Acura is on the ball and is already proactively addressing the situation, whether it's one day before the iOS8 release or a week before.
