Question Can our navigation system show speed limits?

One more question about the navigation system: with the latest map database and software updates do our cars show speed limits, or is that a feature that we'll never have? Thanks!

Nope. Not an option. Even with the latest nav update.

Oh well. Thanks for the replies. Looks like my TomTom portable may still get some use. In addition to showing speed limits it has lifetime maps and traffic as well as an app that can send destinations to the device, all without a subscription. Then again, Waze can also warn me about potholes...

Sure I can. However, I am not a fan of any mod. But why should I have to? This vehicle is the "Flagship"!

The head unit is built on 2012 tech. Low volume sales, means not going to invest...

There is a solution to your original complaint.

What complaint? I have none. Maybe the original poster has one. I know what I bought. Knew the latest tech wasn't a delivered option. And still have purchased two of them.

No complaint here either. I just wondered about the map update.

You want CarPlay, but don’t like the Mod.
Next you say that you shouldn’t have to add the Mod, it’s a Flagship... But then you understand what you bought and that you know it’s on old Tech...

The solution to your wish, or complaint, or increased satisfaction, or experience, or _____________, can be fixed.

Acura can’t release a software update that makes non-existent hardware turn on.

You can choose to add CarPlay or not. It’s all on you at this point.

I have carplay in my 19 MDX and only use it about 5% or less of the time after +12,000 miles. I'm use to the graphics of the Acura navi and leave waze on my iphone connected by bluetooth to hear road hazards on the front speakers (LEO, accidents, vehicles on side of road, etc...). I find the phone app navi sometimes get the posted speeds wrong. Probably do the same and use Acura navi along with smartphone navi apps for hazards in my RLX if it also came with carplay.

The advantage I found with Carplay is using Siri voice commands to search music, look up POI/addresses, and responding to text messages. I like Acura navi for actual in route navigation.
