ANC Delete
ANC Delete
Turns out deleting the ANC module changes things a bit. Deleting it got rid of some weird distortion I was having of certain times. Also, the DTS neural surround works a lot better now. Best of all though is the engine note. The engine sounds AMAZING at WOT now. Only downsides are a tiny loss of audio volume at speed, wind noise increased a little bit, and other cars were louder on the interstate. Put it this way, she's still quiet, but she is no longer a bank vault. Oh and there are no fault codes when you delete the ANC. It is like the car doesn't know it was even there in the first place. Lastly, I'll post a D.I.Y if anyone is interested.
Sorry for the wait. For some reason, I didn’t get any notifications about this thread. Attached are the SM instructions. Make sure the ANC connector is zip tied when you remove it or else it may rattle. Ideal settings for me is +6 bass, +6 treble, balanced L&R, -1 fade, -4 center, level 1 SVC, and no DTS neural surround. Obviously experiment as you see fit.
To improve the low end of the sound system as well as improve the exhaust note. The ANC is tuned to drown own the low end of road and exhaust noise. This unfortunately comes at the cost of bass and the soundstage. I was also getting weird interference and deleting the ANC got rid of it.
