Wood Accent Steering Wheel Query

HondabHonda AccessbLEGEND

Anybody have a line on or information about the wood accent steering wheel pictured there?

I'm concerned about how it ships and whether there is an issue with heating elements integral to the wheel, elements we do not have in the USDM.

Looks like *NO* heating elements, and just a small bit of wood at the top.

It seems to me this ought to work perfectly well.

are you seriously considering modding your RLXh with this steering wheel?

I love the way they executed on the wood accent with the silver trim. much more elegant than our US counterpart. And I like the textured leather section as well.

My only concern would be the "Honda" emblem. Do you have a method for replacing that with the Acura emblem?

I think that it might ship only with the rim, and you'd put your North American air bag, hub and controls into the bare rim.

It's a little difficult to research.

When Legend goes on sale, Modulo will be available and I might be able to get it.

¥62650=$531 at current exchange prices. Then you have to consider shipping from Japan, which ain't cheap. That's more than I recall the wood-trimmed RL wheel being. Hopefully, it will be available in the USDM or at least in Canada soon.

As far as install, if it's anything like my RL, it won't be too bad. I changed mine and posted a DIY on AZ a few years ago. It was just the rim, and you fitted your airbag and buttons into it.

That sounds very encouraging! Thanks!

Mugen Modulo is right, though...nobody seems to be able to buy it right this second. They have only published it in catalogue, and evidently haven't shipped any.
