VIN designator difference for Advance or Tech?

VIN designator difference for Advance or Tech?
Have been perusing used ads and have found some listings do not clarify the package (Tech, Advance, Krell) of the listed car. Is there a way to look at the VIN or door tag to determine the equipment package? The wheels are a sure indicator between the base and higher models but just looking at distant interior shots does not give me enough info to discern Advance from Tech.
