RLX made in Japan?
RLX made in Japan?
For cars sold in the US, are all of the RLXs assembled in Japan and all of the TLXs assembled in the US? Are there exceptions?
Do you believe that a car assembled in Japan will have higher standard of assembly?
Did this come into play in your choice or interest for RLX.

All RLXs are currently Japan built.
All TLXs are currently Ohio built.
Location did not have any part in my decision. I've owned three Ohio-build Acuras/Hondas and two Canadian-built Hondas, and all were excellent build quality.

As the owner of 6 previous RL's and 1 current TL I can tell you the build quality has severely dropped off to the point of embarrassment, once they started building in the good ole USA (when I'm driving with friends and I have to keep the volume down because the plastics rattle)I'm going back to Japan build quality as soon as I can lock down a good price on the RLX-AWD.
My subjective and difficult to quantify opinion is a little the opposite, and I felt that my 2010 TL 6-6 SH-AWD was put together a little better than my next car a 2014 RLX FWD Advance model.
My first RLX was made in August 2013, and my next RLX was made in January 2014, and I do see a little difference, preference going to the January 2014 car.
But...this is subjective and difficult to quantify, and it might have more to do with the fact that the 4G TL was an American car designed by Americans and built in America and, guess what, I'm an American.
:-)
It seems to me I also remember that I could sit bolt upright in the back of my 4G TL, and the head room's a little closer in the RLX.
I also hear a lot of banter about user (subjective) and manufacture (quantifiable) differences in quality between the different North American manufacturing sites, with Ohio doing slightly better than the others.

I've owned one japan made Honda Accord, one USA made Accord, one USA made CL, and the TSX is built in Japan to my knowledge. And I'd say they were all excellent except for the CL which was horribly built. But I think it was a 97 CL made in 96 so it must have been one of the first off the line.
Cars built in Japan are better. They use a lower standard of deviation so everything fits better. The US allows for wider ranges of tolerance.
Workers in Japan are higher skilled and have pride and honor for their work.
American workers have no skills and could care less about pride or honor.
I am still happy with my US built Acura, but my rear fender rusted out in under 5 years of ownership. The seam sealer was applied in the wrong spot from the computer controlled machine. It was applied more than an inch off where it should have been.
If you have the choice always pick japan over us.
