Got a nasty dent/crack on this chrome piece from something hitting it while on the highway. It is shown as #10 in the diagram. I could hear it when it hit. I was behind several 18-wheelers. So it is no telling what hit it.
Is this something I can replace myself? Wondering if it just snaps off with plastic prying tools. I do see a self tapping screw, #31. Does this indicate the bumper needs to be removed for replacement? Thanks in advance for responses.
This chrome piece most likely would only require removal of the wheel, partial removal of the inner fender lining, and then you should be able to remove the self tapping screw, and finally carefully pop the trim free with a plastic or nylon trim removal wedge.
