Can a person buy an RLX Tech trim and get the Krell system ordered separetly online and have it put in the car in place of the ELS system? I LOVE the sound of it but if I want to save a few grand then maybe a Tech is fine. What do you think?
A 16 or 17 used tech vs advance pkg were talking a couple grand difference in price. Just get the advance. You'll get more than just the better audio like parking sensors, 360 degree camera, cooled front seats, heated rear seats, rear sunshades, heated steering wheel, etc. Thats worth a couple G in my opinion. Get a sport hybrid if you can find one! Well worth the extra premium for the performance and fun drive!

You're right. It only comes out to maybe an extra $60-80 in monthly payments, if that. Certainly worth it.
Can anyone confirm that the 16 and 17 PAWS rides better due to the revised suspension? If so I would still like to go down to 18 inch wheels for additional ride quality. I know that they have noise canceling parts attached to the wheel inside the tire, so is it possible for Discount Tire (or whoever I get tires from) to put those inside the new wheels?
Here is a pic of the black noise cancelling attachment mounted on the inside of my 18 RLX hybrid. I don't know if the +18 tech RLX or previous RLX gens use something different? I upgraded to aftermarket rims after I got a pot hole caused flat. I was worried the next pot hole might damage the OEM rims and a replacement will be harder to find/buy compared to aftermarket. I didn't find a noticeable difference difference in noise level before/after the rim replacement with the same OEM tires (under 10K on OEM tires).
The RLX is probably the smoothest riding and lowest sound level of any Honda/Acura ever made. I haven't test drove a RLX other than the +18 versions; but, it seems +18 RLX MMC models have really soften up the suspension to Lexus/Buick levels. I find the suspension extremely good for rough city roads and almost glass smooth for long hwy drives; but, too soft for canyon carving.
