The biggest difference between the 2014-2015 and the 2016, is that in the front crash prevention test the 2014-2015 slowed (from 12mph and 25mph) the vehicle by 7mph and the 2016 avoided the collision!
That is a huge advantage IMHO.....

Just to be clear, the 2014 RLX was also a Top Safety Pick - Plus:

2014 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICKs

The IIHS listed Front Crash Prevention for the 2014 model as "Advanced (with optional equipment)."

The 2016 model is listed as "Superior."

We've joked in other threads about how the 2016 Advance models appear to be much better buys and include more equipment for the same amount of money.

This is just another example of how much better the 2016 model is compared to the 2014.
