* the 2014 PAWS is not going to raise in cost over the years due to the above.
* At the end of my lease I will have spent $38k+ to walk away with:
----No vehicle
----A poor ownership experience

Let me rephrase that last bullet a different way: I will have spent 70%+ of the money you guys have gotten an SH for, with nothing in my hands. Not even ownership of my 2014 PAWS.

At the very least it would have been nice to walk away feeling like it was a great ownership experience.
Thus I don't lease. Sorry my friend.

Hi guys,

I've been eyeing a 2016 SH-AWD. I understand that Acura is currently offering a $5K rebate on the non-hybrid SH-AWD. Currently I am working with a dealer that wants to get rid of their SH-AWD for $1000 back of invoice. However, I am going to wait until the manufacturer offers something like a dealer incentive similar to the non-hybrid.

Does anyone recall in 2014 when the dealers started offering +/-$10k for a SH-AWD?

Thanks in advance.

What is a non hybrid SHAWD? The RLX comes in either PAWS (FWD) or Sport Hybrid SHAWD flavors.

As there are < 300 Sport Hybrids for the 2016 MY, I doubt there will be any manufacturer incentive on Sport Hybrids. Negotiating depends on your location, demand vs. availability and the individual dealer discretion (usually tied to overhead and time car is on lot). Some shoppers here have reported no discounts offered on Sport Hybrids.

PAWS on the other hand are likely selling $10K below sticker.

Thanks for the reply TampaRLX-SH, I meant to say non-hybrid. Demand in my area is equating to 45day or older units hence the invoice minus $1000 at 5 dealerships in my radius. There is $5000 dealership incentive in the region confirming $10k below sticker.

Gotcha. You should target $10 below sticker. You may have to find a dealer (near or far) with inventory older that 45 days, but start with your local dealers. IMHO get the Advance trim and the RLX is an amazing value, despite being FWD. The 2016 model adds new content and addresses most of the buggy issues the 2014 RLX had (and contributed to it being panned in reviews). If you are leasing or planning to run it long term, the resulting resale should not be as much an issue.

Agree. Target a minimum of $10k below sticker on the PAWS. Dealers can't get rid of these cars fast enough, to be honest, so I think most dealers will work with you to get rid of their unwanted inventory.

Cars.com lists 90 2016 SH-AWDs for sale. Given that they are making 20/month (or so we were told), that's a 4.5 month supply. Wow!

As I had mentioned earlier Pohanka is where I bought my 16 SHAWD. It had been a great buying experience and I got a very reasonable deal. Yong Kim is the sales guy that I worked with. These guys are a high volume dealership and are ready to negotiate within reason.

I'm not sure how low dealers are willing to go now, but a few months ago I had a dealer offer me a 2016 RLX SH-AWD at the invoice price. I opted to wait.
