Gas Cap

I have not noticed until yesterday that there are instructions on the capless gas cap. I assume the 5 sec is saying to wait for drips, but what is meant by the pic furthest to the right.

I believe it is to advise there is a manual fuel door release in the trunk, should the electronic release be disabled.

I agree with the 5 sec assumption. Should there be fuel still dripping from the nozzle when you remove the pump - it may be splashed on you from the spring loaded cover in the fill pipe. That is that snap sound you hear when removing the nozzle.

I believe the right pic is showing how to use the small funnel/extension in the trunk should you need to add fuel to the tank with a gas can.

Extension was not a good choice of words on my part. There is a small plastic funnel located with the trunk tool kit that can be placed in the fuel filler "hole" which then allows you to pour in gas from a gas can.
