First Scratch
Got distracted after I pushed the button to open the rear lid, and I didn't get out of the car fast enough to prevent a five year old getting his bike out of the back by himself.
Result is a little gouge in the back bumper's plastic cover.
Dammit.

George - they're a little hard to find, but a GOOD paint detailer can repair that so it looks like it never happened. It will need to be filled, then painted, then clear coated, but when done with skill and an airbrush it's invisible.
I've had lots of things fixed that way, and it's like magic. Ask your Acura dealer if he has a detailer for paint repairs there at the dealership, or if he can recommend one.

i remember the first blemish on my then new TL...it took a whopping 24 hrs for someone to tag the rear bumper a few years later...someone rear ended the car...new bumper fixed all the blemishes.
if it makes you feel any better, my dealer has a brand new black RLX advance in their showroom with a sizeable rear bumper gouge in it.

I gave up on fixing scratches, even in my uber-rare current car. With a young, active son whose bike and scooters share garage space with my cars, scratches are inevitable.
They are badges of honor and while they won't win you the perfect score at a concours in 30 years, they do give character.
Feel better?

George, it sounds like you have a child or grandchild. My next comment is not meant to diminish your damage, but rather to congratulate you on what I consider to be a wonderful accomplishment for all concerned in your family. . . . . .
Oh, what we would give to have a grandchild whose bicycle scratches any of our possessions, pull the tail on our dog or spread toys all over our house. . . . . . . . .
