Does Rlx sport hybrid have economy mode?
when I test drove mdx sport hybrid there were four modes to choose from. In a 2015 tlx v6 tech that I had as a loaner I also had 4 modes to choose from. Maybe I am being dumb, but I cannot find the drive modes option on my 17 rlx hybrid. Does the car not have those options? If it does how do I change my driving mode.

There are only two modes:
"Normal" mode, in which the ICE shuts down to allow full electric mode and, in effect, acts as an "economy mode"
"Sport" mode, in which the ICE is always on, charging the electric motors. In addition, the car remains in a given gear for longer.
You activate Sport mode by pressing the "Sport" button at the far end of the the transmission gear selector.
Have fun in Sport mode! The car is rather fun to drive in that mode, either automatically or with the paddle shifters.

The RLX Sport Hybrid only has two modes... Sport mode and "Regular"/" Economy"/"Non-/Sport" mode. Most of obtaining "Economy" mode is how you apply the throttle when in Non-Sport mode.

Thanks for replies. I was confused as there was a thread about EV mode. I can tell when the rpm is O that is when the electric motor is working. Is there a way to turn on idle/stop or is that on automatically in normal non sport mode? Thanks

The Sport Hybrid will automatically enter EV mode (that is, turn off the ICE and run on the electric motors only) if there is minimal power input required (for example driving at a a steady speed less than 50 mph, or VERY mild acceleration). It will always turn off the ICE when stopped unless the ICE is needed for cabin heating or if the battery charge level is very low and requires recharging.
Sport mode negates both of those functions so the ICE always stays on.
