Current pricing
The pricing is a problem and is subject to the local area you live.
Acura provided $2500.00 in loyalty and there were other pricing incentives, about 5K per model. To me that made a big difference in jumping in now or waiting till later.
I feel if the dealer wants sales, he will negotiate.
Good luck, I am really pleased with the RLX Advance!

Considering the dealer gets a hold-back incentive from Acura for each RLX sold I would think that $500 over invoice would be an easy deal to make. Edmunds is showing TMV in my area to be about $1250 over invoice. I suppose I could make my offer and play the waiting game or move on. I have recently moved and am near a different dealer than I have bought my 8 other Acuras from. My previous dealer is now about 40 miles away but worth the drive he will offer me a better bottom line deal. I would hope tha loyalty would play some factor in the negotiations. In fact, my current '10 I bought from that dealer was traded/swapped with the dealer that I am currently going to, just out of convenience.
If sales do not get better I assume they will be some dealer cash added to the $2500 loyalty/conquest money. Such a shame this car is not doing well. It also does not help that the marketing campaign was virtually non-existent. Sure they ran a brief ad campaign, but I rarely saw any ads, then again I am not a sports guy so if they focused on ESPN like advertising they missed me. I do see MDX commercials all the time. I have to say I am under-whelmed by their ads. They spend more than half the ad talking about BS then get to the MDX. Next we'll see Infiniti like ads with rivers, trees and rocks and no car.

With that much inventory their counter offer is quite surprising. I am seeing VIN numbers as high as 5,100 in dealer inventory so there are many cars on the ground compared to the year to date sales. All of these dealers are paying interest to finance their inventory so you would assume they would want to move some of these units especially since they will also collect the hold back from Acura. The pool of customers for this car cannot be that large at this point-it is an appealing car to those who appreciate what Acura offers but as we know that is not enough right now to sell more than 500 units a month. We may have to wait but the pricing will come down.
I just did a AAA car-shopping quote and got $57,800 as what to expect to pay. I still feel $500 over invoice is fair, and with hold back, dealer would make close to $2000. I guess dealer-to-customer loyalty no longer exists. Since 2004 I have purchased 2 TSXs, 1 RSX-S, and 2 RLs. I am in no hurry and will wait it out.
With 27 RLX's on the lot of the dealership and his monthly payments expected to start very soon, he'll be more in the mood to discuss price reductions and Loyalty for their customers. This is Aug and end of season is not all that far off..
Good Luck, I'll bet you can outlast the dealer!

I got the deal I wanted - after his fresh shipments arrived that gave them 38 RLs on the lot. I got a Gilded Pewter/Seacoast Advanced for $500 over invoice. My trade-in of a 2010 RL Tech with 55500 got me $24500 PLUS I did get back $789 on my AcuraCare - a bit lighter than what I wanted but they are in the busines to make money. It did save me on sales tax though.

Congrats on your new purchase.
As for us as auto buyers, the key is patience. We have all the time on our side, but dealerships are gonna feel the pain once interest payments on the slow-selling RLX inventory start to kick in.
For buying slow-selling autos, time is always on our side.

Congrats on the new purchase miner - Good job on getting the deal you wanted!! There is always give and take in any deal, but at least you left the dealership without feeling like you just had a 2 hour prostate exam. Enjoy the ride - you got yourself a great car.
NeuroBob,
That was my intention to begin with BUT I am not an agressive driver at all and was also expecting a high-60s price and was not prepared to go that high. The 'sport' mode is fine for me and I am kind of enjoying the P-AWS feature.
