2014 RLX passenger side view mirror
Hi everyone,
I recently purchased a 2014 Acura RLX. The passenger side view mirror has an issue. It does not want to fold in. I can hear the motor attempting to, and one day at work it even drained the battery, then I realized to turn off the option to not do that automatically when I put the car in park. Every time I start the car it is trying to work until I hit 10 mph and then it stops. The other functions of the mirror work fine. Any suggestions as to what could help resolve this issue. I can live without the folding mirrors, the noise is just irritating to listen to. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like might have worn gear or broken mirror assembly. If that's the case, just replace the entire mirror assembly with the non-advanced model. 2016 and up advanced model got surround camera build in. This will make life easier

I have the same exact issue with both side mirrors. What solution did you come up with?

I replaced the mirror with a good used unit as new aren’t available anymore. Can be pretty spendy for a used part but was worth it. Could also unplug the mirror but if you live in a cold climate, could be an issue in the winter with the defrost not being able to work if unplugged.
