My passenger side outside rearview mirror does that automatic pull-in and turn down thing when you put the car into reverse. When you put the car into drive, the mirror turns back up and goes back out SOME, but not all the way back out to where I had it.

If I put the car into park and hit the seat/mirror memory button, most of the time, the mirror will go the rest of the way back out. I have tried setting the mirror further out than needed & re-programing the memory button, and that helps some. I have tried just leaving the mirror adjust button over to one side so that automatic feature won't work.....but no matter what, the after awhile, the mirror always ends up not swinging out wide enough.

Also, it seems like I can set the mirror where I want it, and the next time I start the car, the mirror is pulled in again, without the car even being put into reverse since i last adjusted it.

Am I missing something here, or is this a common problem??

 

bad fuse? bad wiring to it or something blocking it from moving fully? any wierd noise when it moves??
