Hi, I was wondering if I'm missing a setting. In other cars I've owned, while using navigation, if I was on a call it wouldn't interrupt with voice directions. On my RDX, the navigation voice interrupts calls which are mostly business calls and very disruptive. Other cars I had you could set the navigation voice to off when it recognized you're on a call. Does the RDX have this option and I'm missing where it is?

while I don't think there is an off setting to stop the voice I think the following works. Simply manually lower the voice while its speaking. you may do this either by the volume control on the wheel or on the radio. when you want to override the mute mode you just did, prompt the voice in navigation & make it louder.

 

Thanks I was hoping there might be a better solution but it's better than current situation.

 

Go to settings, system, scroll down to advance options, interruptions, interruption mode, and pick which option you want.

 

Unfortunately there isn't an option there unless I'm misunderstanding available options in that menu.

No problem and your welcome. In my down time I poke around in all the menus to see all the options available.

 

Lol, I tend to do that too. That way when I want to change an option I know I can because I remember seeing it before. My problem is that I can’t remember where I saw it last time and have to search all over again.
