Lost the cross traffic alert when reversing

The cross traffic alert while in reverse has stopped. I don't know exactly when, but it's within the past few weeks, and could be since the latest 1.6.2 system update -- but just guessing there.

The proximity alert is still working, but it used to alert me to crossing movement of vehicles -- often at distances that seemed a little silly. Now, cars crossing close behind me, but outside of the direct proximity range, are unreported.

Anyone else seeing this recently?

Haven't noticed that. Manual does say that the system can be turned off so you may want to make sure a stray tap of the touchpad didn't shut it off.

I'm going to have to pay attention to this. I could have sworn a few days ago that mine didn't work when backing up.

As someone who actually read the OM and often reminds others to do the same, I'm feeling a little red-faced. I don't recall that option so I need to revisit the great book. Come to think of it, I had the oil changed not long ago and was miffed that many personal settings had changed when I got it back. This may be another of those changes. I had already decided to dump that lousy service dept and this may be a period at the end that sentence.

Thank you.

And...it was not working, because presumably, the 'Cross Traffic Monitor' was set to 'off'. Thanks for the postings!

My system also was enabled to announce cross traffic and I know I didn't change it. When I checked my settings it was set to off, so I would agree that the system update must have changed it. It takes a many step process to change it so it is unlikely you made any stray taps.

Oh wow, I've been wondering myself for the last few weeks if the system wasn't catching cars, or if I wasn't noticing them. But now I need to make sure that's enabled. Thanks for pointing this out, OP.

I checked mine (settings), it was off. I turned it on, and it seems to be working. Its possible that SW update turned it off for some reason

What am I missing here, I don't have the "Camera" selection. I get System, Connect, Display, Vehicle on the first screen then the second screen shows only Sound and Notification. I followed the manual and went through all menus.
Tried on Accessory mode, Car on engine off and engine on. I do have the latest update 1.6.2.
Car is a 2020 Advance. Any clues???

Is this the same setting as rear cross traffic alert? (I don't have my '22 yet)

EDIT: What happened to the post I quoted?

I am going to guess yes due to amount of posts here about this surprisingly being 'off', as well as my own suddenly being off when I know I never changed it.

I made a mistake with my post and when I realized the mistake, I deleted the post. Sorry JB. The settings for "Cross Traffic Monitor are under Settings -> Camera -> Surround View Camera -> Cross Traffic Monitor -> On or Off, which poster Oil Stain does not seem to have.

Yeah it's strange that I'm missing that section.
