Just a little Monday afternoon quarterbacking about our car. You can see below the specifics about my RDX. No really over-the-top mods, just lowered and tuned.

I just went over 54,000 miles…I noticed it this past weekend. My current “retired” work involves serving 4 different churches. 0800 Divine Service 40 miles from home, then jump in the RDX and blast down Alma School Blvd. to the US 60 and 50 miles to Queen Valley at 1000. Yes, to get there on-time I frequently find myself cruising with traffic at around 90mph. Then about 45 miles home. This car is the best vehicle I have ever owned! My driver’s seat is well worn, with the only casualty being the layer of vinyl/leather piping on the base of the driver’s seat on the door side. Floor mats are showing their age. I enjoyed the leather diamond pattern stitched leather floor covers in a previous vehicle, so I just ordered a set for my RDX. The only bad thing is that they come from China, but I was amazed at how well they dealt with abuse of getting in and out, wet weather, dirt and grime….just wipe off with a damp cloth and everything looks new again.

Yeah, I have issues with the USB port not recognizing my USB drive, but a restart puts things back to normal…sure it is a pain, but I have never owned a vehicle that didn’t have compromises. That is really the only issue I have with this car. I guess I must have gotten a good one, as it has been totally joyful….especially the stereo and the handling. I pray each of you is enjoying your RDX….if not, you have the choice to buy something else….the only car that remotely interest me is the Genesis GV70. My wife may be interested in a Genesis GV60 electric…..we shall see.
