Is anyone else having issues with AcuraLink not providing any traffic since a couple hours ago. My system is not displaying traffic, when I go under Info to get traffic information, it gives an error saying couldn't retrieve traffic info.

However, there is connectivity from the car to AcuraLink as I am able to send addresses to the Nav and so on.

Weird and frustrating.

Yes ! Had the same issue on the first week , you will need to reboot the system only the dealer can do it for you.

Acura just placed a notice on our internal network that they are experiencing an outage. No word on an ETA for the fix.

This happens on occasion with my 2014 MDX and my 2013 BMW 535i.

The 3G traffic is iffy. If I turn on the car in my garage (or outside) and pull away without giving the car a moment to warm up, traffic sometimes doesn't come on.

I also lose it if I run into a store for <5 minutes.

I believe both systems use a 3G wireless connection, which is the common theme.

The MDX traffic connectivity has actually been very stable. It connects and receives traffic within couple of minutes of starting the car. The issue that I had was due to Acura servers being down for several hours.

Is XM a must for traffic updates? I have a CRV and updates come from FM signal. Thank you.

the 2014 MDX uses the AcuraLink (the built in 3G mobile network) connectivity to get the traffic.

Therefore it does NOT use either XM or FM radio for traffic.
