Driver's vents blowing hot air
Driver's vents blowing hot air
Today was warm and I noticed that the driver side was blowing hot air while the passenger and rear vents were all blowing cold air. The system is set to Auto with Sync. Anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong before I head to the dealer?
what was the temp set to?
I believe automobile vent systems use a vacuum system to operate the opening and closing of the internal system. I suggest you take it to the dealer. Sounds like an internal vent is malfunctioning OR you have a vacuum leak in the system........(just a possible cause)
I just had the exact same issue with my 2019 RDX this weekend and it is currently at the dealer getting fixed. I haven't gotten it back yet, so I don't know what the problem was. The build date on my car was Sept 2018.
I have noticed that I have to set the temp pretty low sometimes to get it to push out actual cold air, perhaps something wrong with the temp sensor. Let us know what they do to fix your issue

Interesting. My car is late August Build. Wonder, if there is a quality control issue with this "blender" component....
They confirmed that the issue is the Air Mixer / Blender on the driver side. They took a few days to diagnose as their AC diagnostic machine was not working correctly with the new freon. Hopefully, I will get the car back today and they will put the dash back correctly....
I have the same issue with my 09 TL. Passenger side blows ice cold air 38 degrees and driver side blows 50 degree air. Ambient temp outside is 55. They initially thought it was the blender motor which was replaced but it's still blowing ambient air into the cabin. I'm bringing it back for a second look. They said it would be low on freons but is that possible where one side blows cold air and the other blows air?

I don't have the hot air issue, but do have a concern about what seems to be less than expected cooling when the A/C is on, no matter how low I set it. The air is just not that cold. Perhaps the system was not charged properly at the factory, but if it doesn't get better than this, it will be hell to drive when the temps outside get really hot. Trip to dealer coming up I suppose.
I think I am having the same problem with my 2019 RDX
