Unhappy Driver Side Door Frame Plastic

Does anyone else seem to rub against the door frame (not the door itself) while getting in and out of the car? The plastic by my left hip while sitting in the driver seat is all scratched up already.

Also looking for a way to darken the appearance of the scratches. When black plastic starches it gets lighter.

Yep.. The weather stripping tore on mine and I had them replace it. Told them it was a horrible design

No but I do notice that any scratches on this interior trim are impossible to get ride of. I have some in my cargo area already that resulted from taking out the cargo cover a couple times.....it’s like the trim has a texture to it that gets scuffed and there’s no getting that out. It’s not like it’s marking it up and you simply rub it off. It’s physically damaging the trim. Poor choose of materials IMO

I was able to darken the scratches a bit by using a black wood marker. I made tiny dots in the scratch and then quickly wiped with a micro fiber cloth. This lessened the appearance a bit. I am sure the marker will eventually fade exposing the scratches again, but at least it makes me feel a little better for the time being.
