Justnspace,
thanks for reaching out, I have a rattle coming from IP. It’s coming from the front garnish trim piece that’s closer to the wind shield. Not sure 🤔 if it’s from the garnish rubbing against a-pillar trim pieces. 2nd my healiner has separated from the vehicle and can see these Velcro like blocks separated and don’t won’t to go back in. Plus they are perpendicular to each other vs being parallel. See attached.
Assuming the vehicle still under warranty, definitely take it to the dealer for warranty inspection.\
this is a common issue among RDX owners were moonroof frame seems to rattle a bit
No idea if that eliminates the rattle or simply deadens it, but removing it will guarantee the rattle going away. I supposed it depends on if you use the sunroof a lot and/or if you mind some more wind noise when the sunroof is open. But, don't fret, there's another creak/rattle/click that comes from the actual frame of the sunroof as well. It isn't nearly as pronounced as the wind deflector though.
As far as the headliner, it looks like those plastic pieces are meant to lock into place after being pushed into one another. Note how they're rounded at the tip but once they push past each other, they're squared off as to lock into place. It looks like a few are marred or ripped out. A good push should pop them back into place. I know I was able to pull down my headliner around the sunroof to peer in when I was getting a buzzy rattle coming from the rectangular speaker-looking box above the driver's seat. The headliner pulled down with a pop but they popped right back into place after I was done.
