Dealer Invantories ?

Howdy all:

Strongly considering a new RDX.

In the pricing thread, people keep making reference to dealer invantories of RDX's. I cant find on the Acura website where you can view any dealer's invantories. Can anyone help? Nice to know in advance who is overstocked.

Thanks in advance.

Go to the dealer's website directly. Almost all of them list inventories online.

In the LA area, I think about 1/2 the dealer's websites will show their inventory of new cars. Some give more info then others. Cerrirtos Acura, which I think is the largest in So Cal, doesn't list the interier color. Tustin Acura is the largest in OC & they share all info on their new vehicles. I did not buy from them as I got lower quotes from other dealers.

Before negotiating, the lowest quote I got (3 wks ago) was Acura of Riverside.

Thanks, As you know - that's the problem I'm having. Most LA dealers do not have very much info on their sites. Even lowly old Ford lets you seach the dealer invantories and view window stickers and colors!

I was going to PM you - How was the Planet Acura Experience??? (I see the plate on your car). Because of the commercials - I think they might be the most agressive when it comes to pricing. Their website is awful, but that means nothing when it comes to price. I'm ready to pull the trigger in about 2 weeks - want to wait until Xmas shopping is in full swing and dealerships feel like a morgue.

Planet Acura was not a very good buying experience. So if you use them, get everything in writing(email) & be prepared to say no to extras, as they will push. If they tell you they car is on the lot or enroute, it may not be true. I paid $34.4k for tech package which included the chrome wheels, autodim mirror & rear diffuser, so the price was very good. They said they made a mistake on the quote, which may be why they tried hard to push the extras.

Acura of Riverside's quote for tech, before accessories, was $34.4. Can't remember, but I don't think their site showed new car inventory. Someone else on this site got a good price from them, so they were one of the 9 Acura dealers I sent emails too. I sent emails to 8 of the 10 Acura dealers that are within 30 miles of my house. I also contacted Acura of Carlsbad (Hoehn Acura) as they had the color combo I wanted, on their site. Their internet sales guy (Jeff) was the most professional & straight forward of the group I spoke with with. But I got a better price elsewhere.

FYI - Some dealers website lists cars that are not actually on their lot, but may be in storage lots, or due to arrive in the future.

Thanks for the insight. You mean it was not "point, click and drive" like the ad says??? That's an amazing price for tech w/chrome wheels.

I might nneed to "use your name" with them later.............if you know what I mean.

These were the 18" chrome wheels, not the upgraded 19". The dealer quotes I received for these ranged from $600 - $995, before negotiations.
