Center W/S wipers

Can't follow the procedure in the online Owners Manual (Page 555} to center the blades. Need to in order to clean W/S.
What does the car wash do?

With the RDX running, you pull the right steering arm up (and hold it up) and then hit the engine off button.

This should center the blades for you.

I was able to center those wiper blades following steps on page 555. It's a bit tricky since the wipers will keep moving and trying to reset to the idle position. Gotta be quick with the power/engine start button. An example of engineering failure on this car

Just putting the manual section here for reference.

Gosh....bring back the "good o'l days" when all you had to do to change the wipers was........CHANGE THE WIPERS!......no "procedure" required. These designers/engineers need to take their heads out of their butts and realize not everything needs to be a "procedure"!

Don't we all miss the simplicity of the RL where I can simply pull out the arms first into winter mode then change the blades.

Try this which someone posted awhile back. I found it easier to follow
Moving Wiper Blades Instructions

With the engine on, PUSH the wiper switch upwards and HOLD,

then press the engine start/stop button and the wipers should

go to the maintenance position after the engine shuts off.

Always lift the DRIVERS SIDE wiper arm first, then the passenger side.

Has anybody gotten the page 555 directions to work? I just had to start my car for 1 second to flip up wipers for snow 🙄

That's what you have to do. If you look at the page 555 directions that someone posted up above, it says that. It's a pain, but there's no other way.

BTW, this may start a huge debate on the forum, but you don't need to lift your wiper blades for snow.
