Camera display when shifting from reverse to drive
When shifting into drive after backing, the front camera activates until I reach the speed threshold rather than simply switching to the navigation screen. I talked to Acura tech. They suggested hitting the home button or the camera button. Doing so returns to the Nav screen. However, the "fix" is not permanent. Does anyone have a suggestion or is it the nature of the beast. Thanks in advance for the help.

There is a setting for that. I forgot where it is but it allows you to keep the camera on after you shift out of reverse for a bit. It can be changed to switch immediately.

It would appear from page 332 of the owner's manual that you would go to settings, then scroll down to "camera" and select "surround view" and then "show camera after shifting into reverse" (p. 337). Go to page 351 and you will see that you can have the front camera option (after shifting from reverse) set to off.
P.351
"Show after Shifting from Reverse
Sets the rear view to be automatically
switched to the front view when the
transmission is out of R.
On/Off*" (Off is the default but apparently yours is not in the default position)
My RDX is still on order but I am trying to get familiar with the owner's manual enough to be able to make it home the first day. I wasn't aware that this was even an option but it could be useful in a parallel parking situation.

Thank you Fodder for the help. You know more than the folks on the Acura Tech line. I appreciate your help. I hope your RDX comes in soon. We love ours. It's Performance Red Pearl with Parchment interior.
Take care
