Exactly 60 days new, about 2000 miles. Unknown to me, a thief had walked past my RDX, spotted the tip of an expensive camera lens peaking out from under a towel on my front passenger seat. He came back later in his car, stopped next to mine smashed the window grabbed the camera with lens attached and drove away. About 3 seconds. I was sitting 10 feet away in the office in the first photo. Stood up as soon as I heard the 'boom' - saw the guy standing next to my car - thought he had backed into it. He casually got in an drove away before I got outside.

What a freakin nightmare. Over a week later and still waiting for the glass and window regulator to be shipped here(Oahu). Just under $1500 Dealer repair

 

Sad, both that you lost you camera/lens, and the time it is taking ti get you window replaced.

Not having lived in "The Islands", I have no idea if this would be a normal time frame to get things delivered.

Good luck getting it fixed up.
Perhaps comprehensive insurance will cover it?

 

Thanks - Yes fortunately I have pretty good coverage and a fairly low deductible. Dealer repair said it was unusual for the broken glass to damage the regulator; Me accidentally pressing the down switch while full of broken glass probably did it, I remember hearing a sickening 'cruunnnnch' before I realized what I had done
