2019 RDX A-Spec instrument panel hard to see

Is there a way to change the color on the instrument panel from red? I've got the brightness as high as it will go, and I still have a hard time seeing the speedometer. Thanks in advance!

I don’t think there a way to change the color. Are you having a hard time seeing it during the night or day?

Turn down the brightness one level.

I'm actually surprised at how easy it is to read the gauges. I'm not trying to be rude, but you may need to go in for an eye examination. The dials are extremely clear. Also, perhaps use the 'Minimal' option for the center display, as your eyes won't be as distracted by things and can better focus on the gauges. I hate that it always displays 'Minimal' ... but knowing your average consumer, if they didn't do this, people would go crazy thinking it was broken.

We test drove an A-Spec and my wife and I both thought the red speedometer looked blurry and was hard to read. We're in our 60's so maybe that has something to do with it.

I think you might need to see an Optometrist!

My parents are both older than you both and they have no issues with their A-Spec with the red gauges. You might need to see an optometrist for sure.

I think it has a lot to do with individuals and their eyes. I'm sure some people are receptive to the red they use on the gauges, while others have a harder time with the color. I'm sure there's a biological reason behind it. I do wish they offered different interior lighting colors.

Came across this RDX Advance with A-spec instrument cluster. I have an advance TLX and looking to do the same.

Hey I had this same issue with my auto high beams on my 2020 Advanced. I think it has something to do with reflections.

I was driving to Arizona and a semi truck in front of me had some kind of shiny material at the top of his back trailer. My auto high beams kicked on every time the reflection kind of came back at me through the windshield. I had to disable it. I don't want to be the asshole doing this to on coming traffic. That pixel dot matrix adaptive headlight tech can't come fast enough. Glad they finally OK'd it for the US.

Do we know who the first manufacturer to implement will be, and when? I know the article I read said Toyota was instrumental in requesting the approvals.

It's already here. For example, the EV car - Polestar 2, has adaptive Pixel headlights, they just need to be activated via an OTA update and bam! They work.

You’re also 36 years old and probably don’t need readers. Your time will come
