Curious if anyone else had experienced what I think is a design problem with the sound proof front windshield. I'm seeing an enormous number of tiny/petite/miniscule cracks that are most noticeable when driving into the sun. At certain times of the day it very hard to see in front of the car. It does not look like cracks in the window rather than something going on between the split safety glass.

Almost as hard to see as your small red text? ;-)
Just joking with you. I do seem to see some minor vertical lines when driving into the sun. I need to clean the windshield and see if they go away.
Really??? I'm I the only one that is noticing an enormous number of tiny/petite/miniscule cracks that are most noticeable when driving into the sun. I think it’s a design problem with the sound proof front windshield used on the Advance. Even with a clean window, at certain times of the day it very hard to see in front of the car. It does not look like cracks in the window rather than something going on between the split safety glass. Anyone else????
I have the same issue with my 2019 Advance. A couple of small hairline cracks around the lower edge of the windshield evident the day the car was delivered. Also a stone chip the first week I used the car and after 16,000 miles many small pits from road debris hitting the windshield. The sound absorbing windshield seem to made of a softer glass. At certain sun angles there seems to be a film across the whole windshield. I've cleaned it many times inside and outside and it just never looks as clean as my wife's 2019 Hyundai Tucson. I brought it to the dealer and they said its normal and there is no reason to replace it. Its impossible to take a photo of the issues but they can be seen.
Well at least I'm not alone with this issue. I've noticed the Japanese & German made cars I've had of recent have a softer windshield than US made cars I had in the past. My 2019 RDX Advance, with sound absorbing windshield, seem to be made of a softer glass than even them. With only about 10,000 miles I don't have pitting, I know all about small pits from sand & such. The tiny/petite/miniscule cracks of the front windshield are definitely becoming a safety problem when the sun hits it in a certain way. I cant be 100% certain but I believe the cracks are from within the sandwiched safety glass, not on the outside. IF I'M CORRECT, THIS IS NOT NORMAL..

I know what OP means. I just bought a 2019 RDX with 45k miles and the windshield is overly covered in tiny pin sized chips...no it's not dust/dirt. I have cleaned the windshield with windex/goo gone/alcohol/simple green. I have a cost estimate of at least $1,100 USD to replace the windshield at Safelite.
I've used glass polish on all my windows, including the RDX 3. The windshield is soft. The first one was ruined when they peeled stickers off the front with a blade, warranty repair. They approved the repair, then I tried using my glass polish. The first polish left mark, but I didn't use fine polish material. You need a very fine polish, such as 3M Glass Polishing Compound with Cerium Oxide. I used pads on my sander, never pushing too hard. I polish them about twice a year, which keeps them looking great. The polish soften the corners of the pitting caused by road debris, so they do not reflect light. While they don't look brand new, they look great. I've been polishing my windows for decades on my cars and this Acura is the only one that had any issue.

Same with my 2021. Tons of small chips and scratches. Never had the issue to this degree with any other vehicle I owned.
