Got hit with road debris while driving yesterday which destroyed my windshield and need help finding a good place in Houston to get my windshield replaced. How much is it to get it replaced with aftermarket then from the dealership??

Thanks,
Mike

I have heard Acura put some kind of sound absorbing layer between the windshield glass.

Also check with your insurance to see if you have windshield coverage. I replaced my windshield on the audi for $100 out of pocket and rest was covered by my insurance company.

Mine was replaced with PPG Sound Master. It is an acoustically laminated glass like the OEM.

Affordable Glass-59 and Hilcroft

There is this window place off of 59 and Hilcroft, I believe they charge $120 for a new windshield. I had my drivers window replaced there and do a good job for a cheap price. Not sure which way your coming from but if you take 59 N exit hilcroft, make a left under the freeway its on your left hand side towards the back, behind sonic. hope that helps

I have a crack on my 04 TL, the dealership said it would cost about 600 from them. They said that because it has the sound layer it cracks easier. I still have the line its about 6 inches. I just took it to get it filled in for like 25 dollars from one of those places you find at the gas station. I would like to get it replace but not for 600 dollars.

I was quoted about $605-$625 after some conversaion with the rep, again with Safelite in Central Cali. I'm hoping the prices come down a little when the 07 comes out.

The guy I talked to said that the prices come down as they get more cars on the road that use the same glass. In January I was getting quotes around $800.
