So I ordered my 2022 RDX and while at the dealer I noticed they had a 2021 performance red one, at least I think that's the color. It's between a burgundy and red. It was their 2nd to last 2021 and I snatched it up for my wife, not sure if she would actually like the color or not. It really needs to be seen in person as it has quite a bit of sparkle in the paint and just really pops, but not in that slightly obnoxious way that a true red pops. The dealer hooked me up with their powdercoater and got the wheels blacked out, looks really nice and she is ecstatic. Just to note these are true glossy black, not the dark grey that Acura has. I like the wheels so much that I ordered them that way for when my white 2022 comes in.
I am always a fan of black wheels, I think they look great. You don't see too many RDX's with the black wheels. But I have never been a fan of chrome.
Funny how fas come and go. I use to really like chrome wheels and have several cars with them. And I hated black wheels in their first years of popularity. Now, complete 180.....those wheels on that red RDX look great!

Yeah it's definitely interesting. I used to be HUGE into chrome wheels, had a SL500 with these huge chrome AMG wheels, I'd spend hours polishing them up. Now when I see them, they don't really appeal to me anymore. Maybe all those New England winters where the salt forced me to garage my car for 6 months.
Looks to dark with all the chrome trim imo
But whatever u like
enjoy
Still a work in progress, that's a picture of it being picked up from the dealer after purchase. I'm looking into whether it's cost effective to source and replace all the chrome bits/trim. We left the lugs and center piece chrome so it would match the rest of the chrome on the car for the time being. It really does look much better in person though.

I think it was around ~ $500 HUSD for a DIY, sourcing the parts online. If you haven't seen this thread yet, it was done here:
