RV6 Downpipe and Custom Intake!

My RV6 Downpipe comes on wednesday, and my custom intake should be here by the end of the week. Lets hope for more performance mods! I'm thinking of getting the car tuned but don't want to ruin the turbo warranty with only 700 miles.

I'll post vids after the install!

Having a down pipe and intake could also void your warranty...

Excellent, let us know if the 0-60 or quarter mile times improved.

I’m pretty sure this would void the warrenty on the engine at least, possibly the whole power train

I checked with my local Acura, bolt-on's are okay with it, they even offered to install it for me.

Just received the Downpipe!

From reading on some of the accord 2.0T gains, this should be around the 15-20+ wHP. Hopefully, might get it dyno'd at my local tuner. This car is already fun, i can only imagine with some tuning and parts! so excited!

Still waiting on my intake, from the engine it seems i have to take out the intake tube for the downpipe so i want to knock off both at the same time.

also I really want to hear how much of a difference it makes for your exhaust and intake sounds. I’m looking for more spooling sound

This is really interesting! Could you please do a sound comparison video of in car (idle, normal acceleration and hard acceleration) also would you mind sharing the source, cost and install cost?

Thank you in advance!

Check engine light after.

Did you get a check engine light after or currently have it on. I’m a master Techncian for Acura so I know what I’m doing when installing it. Just keep getting second oxygen sensor codes since down pipe was installed. Trying to see if you had the issue. Rv-6 said had no problems with any they knew of.

If it was a catless one you installed, even with a defouler there is always chance of tripping the o2 code. Hopefully hondata or ktuner develop an application so we can disable it altogether

Ya I know. Just wanted to see if you are having the same problem. My also has the catalytic converter and the defouler that comes with it. I know hondata released a reflash but they haven’t created one for any modified ones. Kind of waiting don’t really want a tuner that has not messed with one here practice on my car.

Im not the OP of this thread, i did check out hondata for the reflash you noted and it turns out its actually a flashpro they released. You could just run a stage 1 or 2 basemap tune and turn off the secondary o2 without getting a full custom tune. A good honda tuner should be pretty familiar with these motors as I am sure you know the type r and accord 2.0 share the same foundation.

Im gonna order a FP for my wifes car, thanks

Mitsubishi good I like the way it sounds. I also installed a prl intercooler then I got ktunner flash. Like the power gain. Just have to dealer with the light coming on every 100 miles. I just have to email ktunner and they will help me shut off bank 2 oxygen sensor.

In a Consumer Alert issued by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the agency confirmed that “The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act makes it illegal for companies to void your warranty or deny coverage under the warranty simply because you used an aftermarket part.”
