Sorry didn’t have time to do a detailed write up with pics. I had to make a late Christmas delivery for mom in NC. Here are some pics of the final result.

4ft x 9ft trailer from U-Haul.
The hitch cover attachment looks cleaner than the few that I have seen. Could you please share the part number for the hitch cover?

Thanks! Called a local dealer with the part number and apparently there are two different hitch covers - one for A spec the 200C which looks very clean and flush and the other one 200B for the base and tech (Canada) which doesn't look flush at all. Will wait for the Curt hitch installed pics to make a decision now.

Anyone that has installed a Curt hitch recently?

I just installed mine yesterday which I bought three years ago. It is very easy. You do need a helper when you tighten the first two screws.

Great job! Looks clean as the cross tube is well hidden. My RDX tech came with a spare tire so not sure how this set up would work. Will buy and try it out this weekend.

With spare tire, you can't use the #2 and #3 holes. You need to use #1 and #2 which will stick out beyond the bumper.

ETrailer has two harnesses listed for the RDX one with the positive power, one without positive power at the factory connector.

FYI:
I had a Drawtite Class II trailer hitch installed by an independent contractor for my 2019 RDX Advance. $220.00. I use it only for a bike rack (Kuat).

2023 Advance Trailer Wiring

I posted this in another thread and haven’t gotten any replies so I’m going to try here because there are a number of posts about trailer wiring and by now hopefully someone has an answer

I’ll add a little background before going into the main question…..we’ve have a couple used Buick Enclaves prior to our first new car, a 2023 RDX Advance. Our kids are grown and we thought we no longer needed the extra storage, third seat, etc so the RDX for a perfect fit…..except for a week long vacation…. My current solution for this is to pick up an enclosed clamshell type snowmobile trailer. It will fit everything we need and summer is a great time of year to buy one (price wise). They don’t weigh much and most of what we will be carrying is bulky, not heavy. (Boogie boards, sand chairs, etc)

One would think by now someone would have figured out which RDX’s have the 12V provision and which ones do not without removing the rear trim panels but if they have, I haven’t been able to find it. You need to know this in order to purchase the correct harness on Etrailer.com. Fortunately our RDX doesn’t have the automatic rear hatch kick sensor so that one less thing I need to worry about.

There have been numerous posts here and on line regarding hitch installation but I’ve yet to find a good one on wiring for a 2023 Advance. Etrailer still says you have to remove the left interior panel to identify which harness you have which is like a 74 step process. I don’t mind doing it for the install but it seems a little extreme to just identify what harness to purchase.

any insight would be appreciated…

Sorry to say, I did have to take everything apart to see which harness I needed. It's not too difficult and when you get your harness, it goes quickly since you have already done it once.

I took it apart today to verify what harness I have and it went very quickly. I don’t think the removal, verification, and re-assembly took more than 25 minutes. As you said, the next time to install the harness will go even quicker.

FWIW I have a 2023 Technology AWD and I had two red wires so I ordered the “with 12 volt provision” harness.

and yes, I have a Technology, not an Advance… I stated that incorrectly in my first post

For those that may want to tow a small enclosed weather proof trailer see below. U-Haul was about $200 for a week to rent a little ugly enclosed trailer. I currently own 4 registered trailers so I didn’t want to buy another. I found a local guy selling Pelican waterproof military engine transport cases for $100 each. They are about 48x36x36 inside. Perfect for throwing lighter things like boogie boards, beach chairs, badminton sets, coolers, etc. All the stuff that takes up so much room you end of leaving it home for your yearly beach vacation. My single place jet ski trailer was an easy conversion. I already owned the bike rack and receiver hitch mount.
