Debadging

I just picked up a 2020 a-spec and am stoked on it! I'm definitely going to debadge the RDX + SH-AWD but am not sure about the A-spec badge. I'm thinking I should remove it so it's super clean but want to make sure there are no pins. It's probably just a decal, right? Anyone taken theirs off?

if it is easy enough to remove. It looks like it may be a decal with no pins? Any ideas?

The A definitely has pins and I don't mind leaving just that. I think I'll just go for it and remove the a-spec, too.

I took off my "a-spec" and "rdx" badges from the back and sides, and can confirm there are no pins. I used dental floss on a hot day and it took a decent amount of effort (the floss snapped often). Might want to try a hair dryer or maybe some very hot water? Some of the leftover residue was a pain to get rid of too. After a bit of goo gone + sacrificial microfiber it came off clean.

car looks waaaay better, particularly from the side

I'd the RDX & SH-AWD taken off since the first day, using dental floss & a hair dryer to make the process effortless.

Indeed, I'm a little regret not removing the A-Spec decal. But the car is almost 1.5 years old, I'm afraid the shade of white behind the decal is different from the rest of the car if I have it taken off now.

Don't understand. I am proud of what I bought. To me, it is like taking the namesake off my boat.

Agree 1000%. Why not take the extra step and scrub your name from everything.

There is no way I would change the namesake of the boat. My daughter has certainly earned it.
As to my name, I have my own self-respect, confidence and legacy to do anything different.
Don’t be so sensitive. Nothing wrong with changing appearance of one’s car - -- - -- - especially if one wants to rob a bank.

Not being sensitive but rebadging a vehicle is like muting a part of it character/identity. Now taking the dealers name off is acceptable if it’s overbearing and detracts from cars looks. For me i like my badges and they all compliment each other. Hell I added one for my favorite college basketball team!

I defiantly think these vehicles look better without the badges. It adds a slight aura of mystery because people don't know what model it is.

Anyways when I did my car I used fishing line... 100x easier than dental floss!

Or

There's always the Jaguar F-Pace or the Cadillac XT-5, but the most rad would be the Oldsmobile 442 Vista Cruiser.
