SiriusXM Slow to Load

When using the search function, I have found other threads with issues of slow loading features on the OEM headunit but haven't come across anything that is specific to the SiriusXM. When I start the car and go to SiriusXM, it takes upwards of 2 minutes for the display to show what's actually on the radio. The music plays but I can't change channels or see information about the current channel that I'm on. Just curiuous if anyone else has this experience with the satellite radio and if anything can help with it?

Could be poor satellite acquisition ... not had that in our Aspec, but have had exactly that in our house!

Ah that’s a good point. I’ll try to pay attention to whether or not it happens when we aren’t parked in the garage

I had the same issue with mine after the most recent update. I was able to get it to work normally after a 'reset to factory setting'. It was a pain to reset all my settings, but since then my unit has worked as advertised.

Not sure why I haven't thought to do this yet. I'll give it a whirl - thanks

I've had the same problems. The radio comes on and I hear music but the SiriusXM interface takes a LONG time to show up.

I just bought my RDX a few weeks ago and had the same problem. The solution is to do a factory reset. That did the trick for me. My SiriusXM interface was taking sometimes minutes to load when I started the car. Works perfectly now.

How long has it been since you dd the reset? Just wondering if it gets progressively slow after resetting.

My thinking is it might be a cache or memory issue?
