Ive been searching everywhere to find a gauge pod that would fit in my 2019 RDX, but im not finding anything online. Have you guys found anything that works, or know of a place that will create custom ones for not too much money?
I would like for it to look as flush as possible. Speaking to the shop im going to use for the install, they stated this,
"If I were you I would do a search for one that has a mount for A pillars or find a gauge pod for it. The product you linked will need a lot of customization for us to approve how it looks and I believe for you to be happy with it. Cost of the customization and materials would easily be $800. We would need the car for the first day, leave the A pillar here to finish and then come back for us to mount it. All that for just one gauge."
Also, any suggestions on any other digital speedometer gauges that may be as simple/clean as the one I linked but more reliable? Could installing this cause any possible electric issues with the car? I read somewhere a user stated using a hud heads up display caused electrical issues with their car.
"I attempted to install this in my 2017 Dodge Challenger. It was pretty easy to install and seemed easy to use. Looked great on the windshield, HOWEVER, it did make my Check Engine Light come on! I have 10k miles on it and it's serviced by Dodge only and, in fact, was just serviced by Dodge today and the light was definitely not on! I can't use this product if this happens so I will be returning it. Buyer BEWARE!
Update: Went and had my check engine code read and it was U0001 Problem high speed bus/communication control module. This HUD plugged into the OBDII port makes it so my ECU cannot communicate properly with the car."

I use 'OBD Fusion' OBDII app on my iphone. I have a veepeak OBD module that transmits wifi. works better than the BT ones I think. The OBD Fusion app has a backwards color/font that enables you to put on your dash as a HUD. I have yet to put any time on it. Spend too much time on the sound system/sub for now. But I do use the app, phone attached just below the rearview mirror, and shows a slew of other measurements with multiple screens. Spend a little time setting it up (I can help you with my successful PIDs), and it might fit your bill.
And about that other HUD box mentioned above, that is probably very noisy, causing havoc on the bus.

Thank you for the response, what do you use for mounting your phone?
