Make your system faster

Being an android enthusiast, one of the first things I do on my new android phone is enable developer options and change the window animations to make them faster. Since our cars' have an Android based system, I thought I would try and do the same... Annnddddd Success!!

* Go to system settings
* About
* Click on Build Number 7 times
* Developer options should then appear
* Click on Developer options
*Change all the windows animation options (3 of them) from 1.0 secs to 0.5 secs.

Voila.. System flies with quicker animations!!

I also noticed you can enable USB debugging which would allow you to theoretically connect a computer or phone and add apps, or make changes. Don't know how possible it is, or how much is locked down. I'm not an android developer but wondering if things could be added or changed. Maybe change the tambourine sounds 😛. Food for thought for any ambitious Android developers on here!

Great to know. I was wondering how to get into some of those "hidden" menus. It was always popular with my fellow TLX owners.

I wonder in there in an ANC or engine sound option.

Thanks for the info on developer options. I was nearly falling asleep waiting waiting for screen changes. Was also thinking the processor was underpowered. Little did I think there could be an option to speed things up. Thanks again.

That worked really well. There are quite a few developer options. We will need to understand what each does.
