FYI - Just a heads up, but it seems an issue reported in the 2nd Generation RDX has occurred on my 2019. I found that after pairing my Apple iPhone 7, running iOS 11.4.1, that the Contacts List would initially be downloaded into the HFL, but the next time I started the RDX there was no Contacts List. I tried deleting and re-pairing the iPhone and the Contacts List would again be downloaded, but not when I shut off and restarted the RDX. The Pairing is OK, just the Contacts List is gone. From what I read in the other Forum, this is a known issue at Acura and Apple. The one "work around" that folks found was to remove any pictures associated with a Contact name. I did that on my iPhone and it SOLVED the problem! Anytime I now start the RDX, my iPhone 7 is Paired and the Contacts List is downloaded.

 

 

 

 

If your iPhone 7 is syncing the Contacts with the HFL consistently, it could be the you are not running iOS 11 software on the iPhone. As I mentioned, the Contacts do load if a delete the iPhone pairing and re-Pair the phone. But, the next time I start the car, none of the Contacts download. If you look at the Posts on the Gen 2 RDX, some iPhone 7's seemed to work, but a lot did not. I checked all the settings on the iPhone and the HFL and it's set to "sync" contacts. My wife's iPhone 7 acts the same as mine with the Contacts. I should mention, that both iPhones have no problems with Contacts on my wife's 2014 RDX and I had no problems before on my 2012 MDX.

 

My problem is not that the contacts don't download, or the pictures aren't there it is that the addresses seem to be truncated and only part of the street address and nothing else. So when I click on the address to navigate I get an error that it is not possible to navigate to the address. I would like to stop using Carplay, but this bug is preventing me from doing so. I had no problems at all with my 2016 MDX.
