Anyone using a powered downfiring subwoofer?

Hi all,
I'm looking to install a sub in my RDX. I have an old sub/amp that I used in my previous RDX (first gen) and was thinking of using that or maybe buying a new powered kicker sub. I was looking at the following sub because it fits in the underfloor storage and it would be out of the way.
The dimensions of the storage bins are:
Small bin; 15" long x 16" wide x 8.5" deep
Large bin; 16.5" long x 30" wide x 7" deep

Kicker 51PTRTP12 Powered Down-Firing 12” 500W RMS Enclosure

Kicker 48TRTP122 12-inch (30cm) Thin Down Firing Subwoofer and Passive Radiator Enclosure, 2-Ohm
