After having just given our '19 RDX A-Spec to our daughter, and after just having the windshield tinted for the first time, a rock hit her windshield and put a terminal crack in it today. Has anyone had a windshield replaced recently so I have an idea what the cost will be? Not sure what her insurance is and what direction to go yet, but just want to get an idea what current windshield replacement costs might be. Any thoughts on Safelite---as they seem to be big advertisers in that space. Not sure how much quality difference there is in windshields.

 

Not recent but we had to have our windshield replaced in Dec. 2019. At that time the bill was $1270 for the windshield replacement and calibration at the dealer.

 

Thank you. That gives me some idea of what to expect if she goes the non-insurance route. We had a Land Rover and BMW windshield replaced in Reno....far less $, but no cameras and so on.

 

had mine replaced about 6-7 months ago. Total cost was like $960 or so. I paid the $500 deductible and Progressive sent me a check for the balance. The installer got the glass and kit directly from the dealership as they recommended them.

Great service and they were done in less than an hour. I'm in the Atlanta area if that helps.

 

Thank you. We are in Las Vegas (Henderson). I need to see how bad it is in the next couple days...but regardless, they tend to start spider-webbing, or whatever it is called.
